Dale A. Martin Sr., 67, of Festus died May 22, 2023, at the Scenic Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Herculaneum. Mr. Martin was the owner and operator of Martin’s Twin Town Auto Sales in Crystal City. He was a car enthusiast, and he loved animals, especially dogs. He enjoyed working out, and most of all, he loved spending time with his family. Born May 4, 1956, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Raymond and Betty Jo (Thatcher) Martin.
He is survived by Sharon Martin of Festus; two sons: Dale (Crystal) Martin Jr. of Imperial and Jody (Rebecca) Martin of Festus; three brothers: Donald (Sue) Martin of Festus, Sam Martin of Fenton and Raymond (Charlene) Martin of Fort Myers, Fla.; a sister: Sharon “Katie” Howard of Salem; five grandchildren: Brennan, Evan, Savannah, Fallon and Noah; and many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law: Jerry Howard.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until a funeral service at 7 p.m. Friday, May 26, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins Drive, in Festus, officiated by Pastor Nichols. Memorials may be made to the ASPCA or to Cure PSP. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
