Connie Kay Stevens, 80, of Granite City, Ill. died Nov. 24, 2020, at Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City, Ill. Ms. Stevens was a hotel manager for the Pevely Motel in Pevely. She enjoyed fishing, being out in nature, St. Louis Cardinals Baseball, playing the slot machines and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Born March 26, 1940, in Campbell, she was the daughter of the late Joe and Zetta (Wilson) Whitehead.
She is survived by a son: Stephen (Shirley) Collier of Bonne Terre; a daughter: Tami (Jim) Perez of Crest Hill; a daughter-in-law: Theresa Collier of Hillsboro; nine grandchildren: Kassandra Morris, Zachary Morris, Natoshia Collier, Chandra Collier, Stephen Collier Jr., Heather Honer, Mendy Schlater, Joshua Collier and Jason Collier; 21 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Bonnie (Gene) Hinton and Joeann Shrum; and numerous other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by a son: John Collier; a great-grandson: Grayson Morris; six brothers: Alfred, Vernon, Raymond, Pete, Homer and Ralph; and a sister: Mae.
A private family service will take place at a later date.
