Cheryl Ann (Riney) Morgan, 68, formerly of Crystal City

Cheryl Ann (Riney) Morgan, 68, Hazelwood, formerly of Crystal City died June 20, 2022. Mrs. Morgan graduated from Crystal City High School, attended Jefferson College and received a bachelor’s degree from Tarleton State University in 2019. She enjoyed teaching children and volunteered a lot of time to tutoring children. She had strong faith and enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. Born June 7, 1954, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Hortense (Marshall) and Printon Riney.

She is survived by a son: Brant (Sheree) Riney of Florissant; a daughter: Samone Riney of Hazelwood; four grandchildren: Ashley and Rashawn Riney and Olivia Skye and Olandas Anderson; seven siblings: Eileen (Elroy) Meredith of Sparta, Ill., Sharon Riney of Crystal City, Denise (Ernest) Brown of Festus, Cecelia (Pat) Kinder of Festus, Jerry Riney of St Louis, Alvin (Connie) Riney of St Louis and Dennis (Idis) Riney of Crystal City; and many other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by a son: Lametrius Riney; a sister: Carol Shores; and two brothers: Floyd Dickerson and Robert Cook.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until a celebration of life at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 30, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins Ave., in Festus, followed by a gathering at the American Legion Post, 849 American Legion Drive, in Festus.

Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Homes.
