Carol Ann Jennings, 83, of Crystal City died Sept. 27, 2019, at her home. Mrs. Jennings had worked for Dr. Roger Allbee and Dr. Tae S. Kim, and later at Famous Barr in the South County Mall. She was a homemaker and mother who cherished her family and friends and enjoyed living a small-town lifestyle. Born in the spring of 1936 in her parents’ Crystal City home, she was the daughter of the late C. Doan and Julia (Chmela) Noce. She was preceded in death by her husband: James B. “Ike” Jennings.
She is survived by a sister: Mimi (Dick) Cook of Crystal City; four children: Steve (Ana) Jennings of Kirkwood, Susan (Lynn) Long of Lebanon, Julie (Paul) Skei of Springfield and Jimmy (Deone) Jennings of Portland, Ore.; six grandchildren: Carrie (Marc) Green, Leah (Adam) Merritt, Alison (Zach) Rotello, Kristina (Brent) Carter, Elin Skei and Jackson Jennings; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A memorial gathering will be held from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, at Sacred Heart Church in Crystal City, followed by a memorial Mass at 11:30 a.m., officiated by Father Dan Shaughnessy. Memorials may be made to the Friedreich’s Ataxia Research Alliance, 533 W. Uwchlan Ave. Downingtown, PA 19335. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
