Camilla J. “Cami” Carter, 61, of Hillsboro died Jan. 31, 2022, at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis County. Ms. Carter was a title examiner at Hillsboro Title. She also sold real estate for Coldwell Banker. Born June 24, 1960, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Mildred Sara (Chamberlin) and John Hartford Hooss.
She is survived by three children: Shannon (Rolando) Quiroz of Hillsboro, Ryan Carter of Hillsboro and Tevin “Tev” Rollins; and four grandchildren: Roman and Rey Quiroz and Derrick and Faith Lupien. She was preceded in death by a brother: John Hooss.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until a funeral service at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main, in De Soto, officiated by David Spillman. Burial is in the Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
