Brian Steven Lang, 52, of Dittmer died Jan. 7, 2019, at his home. Mr. Lang was a master carpet layer. A devoted Christian who was greatly involved in his church, he was a loving father, brother and doting grandfather whose greatest joy later in life was reconnecting with his family and spending his days with his grandchildren. Born April 3, 1966, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Jacqueline (Wilke) and Harold Joseph Lang.
He is survived by eight children: Steven (Brittney) Lang, Kathleen (Charles) Cole, Timothy Lang, Matthew Lang, Joshua (Diamond) Lang, Rebecca Lang, Hannah Lang and Danielle Lang; five siblings: Linda Miller, Gary (Marla) Lang, Bruce (Beth Ann) Lang, David (Crystal) Lang and Thomas (Missy) Lang; and 19 grandchildren.
A celebration of life is planned at noon Thursday, Jan. 17, at Friendship Baptist Church, 8827 Hwy NN, in Cedar Hill, officiated by Pastor David Willis. Burial is in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Cedar Hill. Memorials may be made to Friendship Baptist Church, 8827 Hwy NN, Cedar Hill, 63016. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
