Brenda Kay Wilson, 68, of Crystal City died Jan. 17, 2021, at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis County. Mrs. Wilson was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Crystal City. She loved fashion and shopping, and always enjoyed helping others. Born March 12, 1952, in Bonne Terre, she was the daughter of the late Loretta Flora “Mickey” (Aubuchon) Bova and Leo F. Schmitz.
She is survived by her husband: George Wilson; two sisters: Gail (Mike) Reed and Anna (Allen) Boyer, both of Crystal City; a brother: Paul (Maureen) Bova of St Louis; two nephews: Andrew Bates and Scott (Rhose) Boyer; four nieces: Shannon (Kyle) Veltrop, Julie (Jason) Bell, Jordan ( Zac) Anderson and Shanna (Aaron) Boehmer; five great nieces: Grace Hancock, Olivia Anderson, Avery Boeving, Jasmine Boyer and Kenzie Boehmer; seven great-nephews: Bayley Hancock, William Hancock, Eli Veltrop, Owen Veltrop, Tyler Veltrop, Isaiah Boyer and Collin Boehmer; and two step-grandchildren: Brynlee and Brayden Stone.
She was preceded in death by her stepfather: Anthony A. “Tony” Bova; and a sister-in-law: Kathy Bova.
A graveside funeral service is scheduled at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20, in the Presbyterian/Methodist Cemetery in Festus. Memorials may be made to Grace Presbyterian Church Friends of the Fountain, 105 Bailey Road, Crystal City, 63019. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
