Billy Ray Smith Sr., 72, of De Soto died Oct. 20, 2019. Mr. Smith was a warehouseman for AJF in north St. Louis. He enjoyed bird watching, cooking, and collecting country music. Born Feb. 18, 1947, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Vernard and Sadie (Crouch) Smith. He is survived by his wife: Susan (Roth) Smith of De Soto; a grandson: Luke Huffman; and a sister: Bettie Noll of O’Fallon.
He was preceded in death by a daughter: Tammy Smith; a brother: Gene Smith; and two sisters: Cholene Tripp and Ruth Noll.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral services at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at Mahn Funeral Home, 900 Main St., in De Soto, officiated by Luke Morris of Calvary Christian Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
