Beverly R. Kite, 66, of De Soto died Feb. 23, 2018, at the Villas in De Soto. Mrs. Kite was a manager at Martin/Roop Publications and a receiving clerk at Walmart. She also a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Barnhart and worked at the Immanuel Lutheran Daycare. Born Nov. 27, 1951, in Parma, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Arlene (Ullrich) Schmidt.
She is survived by her husband: Elmer “Wayne” Kite of De Soto; three children: Terry (Will Gausman) Kite of St. Louis, John (Hillary Burns) Kite of Garnavillo, Iowa, and David Kite of De Soto; three siblings: Carolyn (Robert) Johnejack of Milwaukee, Wis., Lillian (Gary) Newhouse of St. Charles and Robert (Whan) Schmidt of Bangkok, Thailand; and five grandchildren: Lacy, Lillian, Daniel, Taggart and Benjamin.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 26, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto. Visitation is at 10 a.m. and a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 6500 Metropolitan Blvd., in Barnhart, officiated by the Rev. Bill Liebmann. Burial is in the Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
