Barbara “Charlene” Fritz Johnson, 56, Festus

Barbara “Charlene” Fritz Johnson, 56, of Festus died March 24, 2025, at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis County. She was a loan officer for Capital Title. Born Oct. 19, 1968, in Los Angeles, she was the daughter of the late Frederich Fritz and Barbara (Bricker) (the late Ed) McClellan.

She is survived by her longtime friend: Frank “Richard” Forshee; two children: Alexandria (Wesley) Stults of Seymour and Chelsea (Connor Quarles) Johnson of Sullivan; three grandchildren: Leyton, Kaliliah and Adison; and three siblings: Terri (Terry Workman) Ford of De Soto, Gertrude Stefanik of Sandusky, Ohio, and David (Pat) Moore of Cambridge City, Ind.

She was preceded in death by three grandchildren: Zaylond, Adalynn and Atticus; and a brother: Steve Moore.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 29, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto. Memorials may be made to the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
