Arthur L. Ems, 87, of Arnold died Oct. 17, 2018, in Arnold. Mr. Ems was an automobile mechanic. Born Sept. 6, 1931, in House Springs, he was the son of the late Adam Ems and Anna Schuke.
He is survived by his wife: Neoma (Krepps) Ems; two sons: Arthur Leroy (Beverly) Ems and Lester (Sherri) Ems; six daughters: Kim (Dave) Shepard, Mary (John) Musante, Laura (Rick) Ross, Tami (Tony) Biando, Gina (Gary) Bick and Joann (Chad) Hodges; 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by one sister: Kate Nelson; two brothers-in-law: Bob Nelson and Greg Krepps; and one grandson: Jorden Jourdain.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today, Oct. 19, and 10-11 a.m. Ssturday, Oct. 20, at Canaan Baptist Church, 5409 Baumgartner Road, in south St. Louis County. Funeral is at 11 a.m. Oct. 20 at Canaan Baptist Church, officiated by Patrick Krepps. Burial is at Shepherd Hills Cemetery in Barnhart. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis Funeral Home in south St. Louis County.
