The Greater Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual Jefferson County Dress Swap from 12:30-3:30 p.m. Sunday (Aug. 26) at Hillsboro High School, 123 Leon Hall Parkway.
The event, which features more than 500 semi-formal and formal dresses in all sizes and styles, is open to all area teens. The dresses have been altered and repaired when needed.
Donations of dresses are needed before the event and may be dropped off at the State Farm Insurance office of Matt Woods, 10540 Business 21, Hillsboro; First State Community Bank, 4767 Hwy. B, Hillsboro; or Pony Bird, 1 Pony Bird Lane, Mapaville.
Volunteers are also needed to help set up on the day before the event.
Dressing rooms will be available and a seamstress will be available.
There is no admission fee. Dresses cost $30, or $20 if you bring a dress to swap. Shoppers will be limited to buying two dresses.
Drawings will be held for free hair styling, makeup, tanning and jewelry, among other items and services.
