In observance of late President Harry Truman’s birthday, some county and state offices will be closed Friday.
All driver examination stations throughout the state will be closed, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Facebook post. Both of Columbia’s license offices will be closed. Other state offices, Boone County office buildings and the Boone County Courthouse will also be closed.
Truman was the 33rd president of the United States and a Missouri native. The holiday was established statewide in 1967.
The City of Columbia, schools and all federal offices will remain open.
