A 17-year-old juvenile was arrested in connection to the disappearance of 16-year-old Kayla Huff, according to a news release from Randolph County Sheriff Andy Boggs.

Boggs said Kayla is still missing and search efforts are ongoing as of Saturday afternoon.

Volunteers and law enforcement are in the Rudolf Bennitt Conservation area Saturday searching for Kayla, according to the release.

Boggs said any information on Kayla’s whereabouts or details surrounding her disappearance should be directed to the Randolph County Sheriff's Office at 844-277-6555.

Hundreds of volunteers, law enforcement and service members helped Friday to search for Kayla, who has been missing since May 6.

The Huff family said Kayla was not home and her car was abandoned on Rollins Street in front of the Assembly of God Church in Moberly.

Boggs said investigators received information from the public that Huff may be in the Rudolf Bennitt Conservation Area. The area covers about 5.5 square miles near the junction of Boone, Howard and Randolph counties, according to the Missouri Department of Conservation.
