Dozens took part in the Fox Trot's 1-mile fun run/walk last year in Arnold City Park. A 5K also is included.

Participants are still needed for the fifth annual Fox Trot, a fundraising 5K and 1-mile fun run/walk, to be held Saturday, Sept. 28, at Arnold City Park on Bradley Beach Road off Jeffco Boulevard near the Meramec River. The 5K is at 9 a.m. and the fun run/walk at 10 a.m.

It costs $25 to enter the 5K and $10 for the fun run/walk. Proceeds will benefit the C-6 Educational Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides educational and welfare grants to help students throughout the Fox C-6 School District.

The overall male and female 5K winners each will receive a $100 cash prize and trophy. The top three finishers in each 5K category will receive a medal. All fun run/walk entrants will receive a medal, too.

Participants also will receive shirts, goodie bags, water and snacks.

The Vita Cantus Chorale will perform the national anthem before the start of the 5K. Raffles will be included in the event.

In addition, the C-6 school that has the most students, staff and family members register for the event will receive a $500 educational grant.

Fleet Feet will provide chip timing and online registration. To register, go to fleetfeetstlouis.com/racing/highlighted-races/fox-trot.

People also may sign up at the packet pickup, which will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27, at the Fox C-6 Service Center, 849 Jeffco Blvd., in Arnold. They also may sign up the morning of the event at the park.
