An American Red Cross blood drive is scheduled for 1:30-5:30 p.m. Thursday, June 20 at the De Soto Christian Church Fellowship Hall, 4151 Fountain City Road.
The Red Cross asks participants to pre-register at RedCrossBlood.org, although appointments are not required.
Those who give blood to the Red Cross from during the period of June 10-30 and have a valid email address will receive a $15 e-gift card.
In a written statement, Red Cross leaders say the summer months can be a challenging time to find enough people to donate blood.
