In addition to deciding county and state races in the Aug. 7 primary election, voters in eight townships in the county will decide political party committee positions.

Each political party has two spots open in each of the county’s 12 townships, one committeeman and one committeewoman.

The only contested races are in the Republican Party.

Committeepersons serve two years and are not paid.

ARNOLD TOWNSHIP

TAMMY FULBRIGHT, 47, lives at 3443 Tenbrook Road, Arnold. She is married to Jason Fulbright. She is the director of the treasury for the Bi-State Development Agency. She is a 1989 graduate of Eureka High School and received a bachelor’s degree at Missouri Baptist College and a master’s degree in business administration from Missouri Baptist University. She has served on the Central Committee since 2013 and volunteers to work at local events, including Arnold Days.

JASON FULBRIGHT, 44, lives at 3443 Tenbrook Road, Arnold, with his wife, Tammy. He is a property manager and owner of JASTAM Property Management LLC in Arnold. A 1992 graduate of Fox High School, he received an associate degree from Jefferson College and bachelor’s and master’s of business administration degrees from Missouri Baptist University. He is secretary of the Jefferson County Republican Central Committee since 2013, is the parliamentarian for the Southern Gateway Association of Realtors, is on the board of Public Water Supply District 1 and is a member of the Arnold Rotary Club and Jefferson County Labor Club.

DIANE BERBERICH, 68, lives at 2840 E. Springview Drive, Imperial. She and her husband, Jim, have four children and seven grandchildren. She was a school bus driver for the Fox C-6 School District while helping her husband with their automotive repair shop, where she worked even after she retired from Fox until she and her husband sold the shop. She also owns and manages rental property in Jefferson and St. Louis counties and was a city clerk for Arnold. She is a graduate of Fox High School graduate who has taken some college courses. She has been the Arnold Township Republican committeewoman and is the current Imperial Township committeewoman. She was a delegate to the Republican National Convention in 2004 and is a Republican supervisory judge during elections.

JIM BERBERICH, 63, lives at 2840 E. Springview Drive, Imperial. He and his wife, Diane, have four children and seven grandchildren. In addition to serving on the Jefferson County Port Authority, he is retired after owning Al’s Automotive and Tire. He is a member of the Jefferson County Port Authority’s Board of Directors. He received a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Webster University. He is the Imperial Township Republican Committeeman, the Republican state committeeman for the 22nd Senatorial District, and a Republican supervisory election judge.

WENDI B. GOOD, 45, lives at 6185 Regina Road, Cedar Hill. She and her husband, Derrick, have two daughters. She is the founder and CEO of Footprints On My Heart, a charitable organization using miniature therapy horses. She received a bachelor’s degree in biology from Missouri Southern State University in 1997. She is the current Meramec Township committeewoman. She has worked with numerous campaigns at the local, state and national level for the last 20-plus years.

CONNIE COMBS, who declined to supply her age, lives at 6590 Tower Road, House Springs. She has one child. She is an IT systems analyst at the St. Louis College of Pharmacy. She received a bachelor’s degree in computer studies with a management minor from Webster University in 1993, a certificate in network administration from St. Louis Community College in 2001, a certificate in health information technology-implementation support specialist from St. Louis Community College in 2012 and is pursuing a master’s degree in supply chain management at Fontbonne University. She has been a state and congressional district delegate in the 2008 and 2016 elections and was the county coordinator for Ron Paul’s presidential campaign in 2012.

DERRICK R. GOOD, 44, lives at 6185 Regina Road, Cedar Hill. He and his wife, Wendi, have two daughters. He is an attorney for the Thurman Law Firm. He is a 1992 graduate of Hillsboro High School, received a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Missouri Southern State University in 1998 and a master’s in business administration and a law degree from St. Louis University in 2001. He has worked on campaigns for more than 25 years, is the current committeeman, was the co-chair of the County Charter Commission and is president of the Jefferson County Port Authority’s board.

RALPH E. MEUSER, 82, lives at 8500 Dittmer-Catawissa Road, Dittmer. He has three children and six grandchildren. He has been retired for 25 years after holding sales and management positions with chemical companies in St. Louis. He received a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Texas A&M University in 1957. He has served two terms on the Jefferson County 911 Dispatch board, 10 years on the Jefferson County Parks Board with six years as president and is a long-time member of the High Ridge Rotary Club, where he served a term as president.

CYNTHIA S. HIGGINS, 54, lives at 2901 Marathon Drive, De Soto. She and her husband, Martin, have four children. She is a stay-at-home mom and home school teacher. She is a 1982 graduate of De Soto High School and received a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in social work from Southeast Missouri State University in 1991. She has sat on many collegiate committees.

TERRY VARNER, 71, lives at 3229 Magnolia Lane, Festus. He and his wife, Jackie Varner, have six children and 11 grandchildren. He is a retired firefighter for St. Louis County. He is a Cahokia High School graduate and attended Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. He has been involved with the St. Charles County Council, the St. Charles County Planning and Zoning Commission and the City of St. Peters Police Advisory Board.

JANE BOLLINGER, 74, lives at 108 Summerset Lane, in Festus. She and her husband, Gerald, have five children, 11 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. She retired after 29 years as a first-grade teacher at Festus Elementary School, and she was also a teacher in the Jefferson R-7 School District and in Elgin, Ill., and Indianapolis. She is a 1962 graduate of Festus High School, received an associate degree from Hannibal-LaGrange in 1964, a bachelor’s degree from Southeast Missouri State University and a master’s degree in education from Webster University in 1986. She is the current committeewoman for the Riverview Township.

GERALD BOLLINGER, 74, lives at 108 Summerset Lane, Festus. He and his wife, Jane, have five children, 11 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. He is a retired self-employed painter, but he also did full-time children’s evangelism in the 1970s. He is a 1962 graduate of Festus High School and received a bachelor’s degree in theology in 1968 from Tennessee Temple University and a bachelor’s degree in 1970 from Indiana Bible College. He is the current committeeman for the Riverview Township.

ANGELA ALTER-WREN, 54, lives at 1802 Gravois Road, High Ridge. She and her husband, Todd Wren, have four children and one grandchild. She works in self-marketing. She is the GOP county coordinator, Rock Township committeewoman and chairs the county’s’ Republican Central Committee. She was also the treasurer of the committee’s 90th House District in 2004.

BILL ALTER, 74, lives at 1800 Gravois Road, High Ridge. He and his wife, Merijo, have two children and five grandchildren. He is self-employed in sales and is an active duty police officer with 36 years of service. He served in the Missouri General Assembly as a state representative and state senator for a combined 12 years. He received education in electronics from the U.S. Navy, computer education from IBM and attended the Jefferson College Law Enforcement Academy. He has been a committeeman for six years.

ALAN LEADERBRAND, 62, lives at 5062 Romaine Spring Drive, Fenton. He and his wife, Lynn, have two children. He is a systems programmer for IBM. He received a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in computer science from the University of Missouri-St. Louis in 1980. He is the second vice president of the Jefferson County Republican Club. He was a committeeman for the Lemay Township in St. Louis County for four years. He has been a delegate to two Missouri state conventions and a delegate to two 2nd Congressional District conventions.

WINDSOR TOWNSHIP

SHARON L. SWAN, 55, lives at 850 Ashmount Drive, Imperial. She and her husband, Gary, have four sons and three grandchildren. She is a former business procedures analyst for MetLife. She received an associate degree from Jefferson College in 1983, a bachelor’s degree in English from Southeast Missouri State University in 1985 and a teaching certification from Harris-Stowe State University in 1987. She is a former member of the Windsor C-1 School Board and has worked on several Republican political campaigns.

BECKY HUEY, 36, lives at 1336 DeBeth Lane, Arnold. She and her husband, Charles, have two children. She is a rehabilitation technician for Kindred Healthcare. She received an associate degree in elementary education from Jefferson College in 2003. She was the Republican committeewoman for Arnold Township in 2009-2010. Her husband is running as a Democrat for Jefferson County auditor.

DAVID DAY, 64, lives at 814 Apple Gate Court, Arnold. He has four children and 11 grandchildren. He works in commercial lighting sales and installation and been doing talk radio for 17 years. He attended Lutheran South High School and is a 1973 graduate of Cleveland High School. He is the current Windsor Township Committeeman and he has helped with and run political campaigns.
