Arnold Police are trying to identify a woman suspected of stealing merchandise worth more than $400 from the Target store, 3849 Vogel Road, twice over a two-day period. She was seen fleeing from the store in a gray Ford Fusion, police reported.

At about 10:50 a.m. Nov. 6, the suspect and two other women allegedly stole a 50-inch television and a cookware set from the store. Then, the three women fled the area in the Fusion with the stolen items that were worth $409.98, a report said.

The suspect returned to the store the next day, and she reportedly stole another television worth $329 at about 10:15 a.m. Nov. 7. She allegedly tried to put the TV in the Fusion, but when she couldn’t, she put it on top of the car, according to the report.

She did not secure the TV to the roof of the Fusion, and it fell off the car when she stopped at a traffic signal on Vogel Road. Police arrived on the scene and allegedly saw the woman take the TV out of the box, put it into the backseat of the Fusion and flee onto northbound I-55, the report said.

Officers attempted to stop the woman on Vogel Road but they did not chase her on the interstate, according to the report.

As of Nov. 16, none of the stolen merchandise had been recovered, and none of the women had been identified, Detective Lt. Jeremy Christopher said. He asks anyone with information about the thefts to call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
