broken window

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary at Dave’s Diner, 2823 High Ridge Blvd., where a window and two gaming machines were damaged. The damage was estimated at $11,000, the Sheriff’s Office reported.

The burglary occurred between 6:20 p.m. March 24 and 8 a.m. March 25, when it appeared someone used a hammer to break a front window at the restaurant to get inside. It looked like the hammer also was used to break into NCG3 Suite and Cherry Master gaming machines, the report said.

According to the report, it will cost an estimated $5,000 to repair each of the machines and another $1,000 to replace the 5-by-7-foot tinted glass window.

Nothing appeared to be stolen during the burglary, Sheriff’s Office spokesman Grant Bissell said.

As of March 27, no suspects had been identified, Bissell said. He asks anyone with information about the incident to call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
