A 59-year-old Wildwood woman was arrested in Eureka on suspicion of driving while intoxicated after she allegedly registered twice the legal limit for blood-alcohol content. The arrest happened at 11:04 p.m. Nov. 22, Eureka Police reported.

Officers spotted a 2017 Ford F-150 traveling east on Fifth Street with its headlights off. After the pickup turned left onto Meramec Boulevard, officers pulled over the vehicle, police reported.

The woman told police she was trying to figure out how to turn on the pickup’s lights, and she allegedly said she had an alcoholic drink earlier in the evening. The woman appeared intoxicated, and she failed field sobriety tests, the report said.

She was arrested and taken to the Police Station, where she allegedly registered a .155 percent blood-alcohol content, the report said. In Missouri, .08 percent is the legal limit.

She was booked and released to a sober driver. Police will seek charges through Eureka Municipal Court against the woman for driving while intoxicated and driving without headlights, Capt. David Wilson reported.
