The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of a trailer that was parked in a field behind the Friendship Baptist Church, 8827 Hwy. NN, in Cedar Hill. The black 1993 utility trailer was filled with tools and other equipment when it was stolen, the Sheriff’s Office reported.
The theft occurred between Dec. 22 and Dec. 27, the report said.
In addition to the trailer, stolen items included a Vermeer stump grinder, two Stihl chainsaws, a Stihl blower and multiple climbing ropes. The trailer was valued at $1,500, and together the other items were valued at $14,000, according to the report.
As of Dec. 29, the stolen items had not been recovered and no suspects had been identified, Sheriff’s Office spokesman Grant Bissell said. He asks anyone with information about the theft to call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
