A 57-year-old Arnold woman was injured when her roommate and the roommate’s mother allegedly assaulted her. The assault occurred at the apartment the roommates share in the 1200 block of Telegraph Road after the two women began arguing over who owned a pair of boots, Arnold Police reported.
The alleged victim called Arnold Police at about 8:20 p.m. Oct. 13 from SSM Health St. Clare Hospital in Fenton. She told police her roommate, a 29-year-old Arnold woman, and the younger woman’s mother, a 55-year-old St. Louis woman, hit her with a flashlight, took her phone and keys and would not let her to leave the apartment, the report said.
The alleged victim, who had injuries to her head and ribs, has been released from the hospital, Arnold Police reported.
Cpl. Brett Ackermann said after interviewing the alleged assailants, Arnold Police may seek charges against them through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for second-degree assault and kidnapping. He said he did not have information about the boots the roommates were arguing about before the alleged attack.
