Eureka Police patch

Two Washington, Mo., men, one 25 and the other 27, have been cited for trespassing after they allegedly entered the water park portion of Six Flags in Eureka illegally and posted video and pictures of themselves there. The incident happened about noon March 27, Eureka Police reported.

Six Flags, 4900 Six Flags Road, has not opened for the season because of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.

Six Flags employees contacted Eureka Police at about 8:30 p.m. March 27 after seeing posts on Facebook of the two men reportedly trespassing at the water park. The men allegedly were standing on water slides and skateboarding down slides, the report said.

There were no signs of forced entry into the park. In surveillance footage, it looked like at least two other people were with the men and likely took the pictures and videos, according to the report.

The two Washington men were issued summonses to appear in Eureka Municipal Court for trespassing, and Eureka Police are still trying to identify the other two people suspected of trespassing at the park, Capt. David Wilson said. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Eureka Police at 636-938-6600.
