Arnold Police arrested a 34-year-old Arnold man and a 31-year-old De Soto woman who were wanted on outstanding warrants after the two attracted an officer’s attention outside the Phillips 66 gas station, 5 Municipal Drive, police reported.
The officer pulled his cruiser into the parking lot at about 8:55 p.m. Jan. 9 and noticed the man and woman. The officer said it looked like the two were trying to hide inside a 2004 Ford Escape parked alongside the convenience store, the report said.
Since the officer believed the man and woman were behaving suspiciously, he asked them for their identification. The two were wanted on warrants from Jefferson and St. Louis counties, according to the report.
The officer arrested them and took them to the Police Station, where they were booked and taken to the Jefferson County Jail in Hillsboro, Detective Lt. Jeremy Christopher said.
