A 19-year-old man and a 16-year-old male, both of St. Louis, were arrested in connection with the theft of a car in Arnold. The car, a LaCrosse, reportedly was stolen July 31 from outside a home on the 2200 block of Lincoln Drive in Arnold, according to Arnold Police.
The two suspects were arrested at 4:41 a.m. Aug. 4 on Glen Valley Drive in Maryland Heights. They were among five men seen exiting a 2013 Buick LaCrosse in that area where numerous vehicle break-ins were reported the same day, the report said.
As of Aug. 7, police were still trying to identify the other three men, Arnold Police Lt. Tom Leassner said.
Arnold Police will seek a charge against the 19-year-old through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for stealing a motor vehicle. The 16-year-old was turned over to juvenile authorities, Leassner said.
He said the LaCrosse was returned to its owner.
