Arnold Police are investigating the theft of a trailer from the parking lot of the Comfort Inn hotel, 3610 W. Outer Road. A 36-year-old Dittmer man had left the trailer in the parking lot due to a flat tire, police reported.
The man told police one of the trailer’s tires went flat while he was driving on I-55, and he had parked the trailer at about 1 a.m. Oct. 9 outside the hotel. He said he returned at about 3 p.m. that day and the trailer was gone, the report said.
There was a hot tub and blue toolbox on the trailer. The year, make and model of the trailer and brand of hot tub was not reported.
The trailer is approximately 5-feet wide and 10-feet long and has black side rails. The toolbox has several dents, according to the report.
An approximate value of the stolen items was not provided.
As of Oct. 16, none of the stolen items had been recovered, and no suspects had been identified, Detective Lt. Jeremy Christopher said. He asks anyone with information about the theft to call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
