The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of a tool cart and numerous tools from Imperial Self Storage. The stolen items, which were valued at about $6,000, were stolen between July 2 and July 5, the Sheriff’s Office reported.

Deputies were called to the business, 6645 Hwy. 61-67, on July 5 after a lock had been cut off a storage unit there. The victim told investigators that a red tool cart with miscellaneous hand tools and impact tools were stolen from the unit, the report said.

As of July 28, none of the stolen items had been recovered and no suspects had been identified, Sheriff’s Office spokesman Grant Bissell said. He asks anyone with information about the theft to call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
