Eureka Police are investigating the theft of 15 tires from a storage facility at Walmart, 131 Eureka Towne Center Drive, authorities reported.
Police were called by a store manager at 7:26 a.m. Jan. 17 to report the loss of $1,500 worth of tires. The manager contacted authorities after discovering the missing merchandise, the report said.
Surveillance video showed a white Budget Rental truck backed up to the tire storage facility at 4:06 a.m. Jan. 17, and a man got out of the truck. A pry tool appeared to be used to force entry into the facility, according to the report.
As of Feb. 1, none of the tires had been a recovered and a suspect had not been identified, Capt. David Wilson said.
