Two Arnold men and a juvenile were arrested in connection with reports of a gun being fired from a vehicle traveling on Starling Airport Road and Kathryn Drive. The shots were fired at 9:47 p.m. Jan. 25, and the three were arrested nearby a short time later, Arnold Police reported.
Officers found the three in a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado near the intersection of New Haven Lane and Fox Ridge Court. A 17-year-old Arnold man, who was in the passenger seat, allegedly fired a gun into the air while traveling through the Arnold neighborhood, and he was found with a Walther PPK 9mm. The gun had been reported stolen, the report said.
A 20-year-old Arnold man was driving the pickup, and he allegedly was found with marijuana and a THC derivative in wax form. Police believe the men were distributing the illegal substance, according to the report.
A 16-year-old Arnold male also was a passenger in the pickup and allegedly was found with marijuana, too. The teenager was turned over to juvenile authorities, Lt. Clinton Wooldridge said.
Depending on results from the drug analysis, police will seek charges through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office against the 17-year-old for discharging a weapon from a motor vehicle, possession of stolen property and possession with intent to distribute narcotics. They will seek charges against the 20-year-old for possession with intent to distribute narcotics and possession of stolen property.
