The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office arrested a De Soto man and woman and a Bonne Terre man after they were found in the Pevely area in a 1992 Ford Motorhome that had been reported stolen in Lake St. Louis. The three were found inside the RV while it was parked in the 8500 block of Cedar Trail west of Pevely, the Sheriff’s Office reported.
The Sheriff’s Office got a call about the RV on May 11, and deputies found a 54-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman, both of De Soto, and a 39-year-old Bonne Terre man inside the Motorhome. The three allegedly would not tell deputies who owned the RV or how it got to the Pevely area, the report said.
All three were arrested, and the Bonne Terre man was released at the scene pending application for warrants, spokesman Grant Bissell said.
The two De Soto suspects were taken to Jefferson County Jail, and the woman was booked and released pending application for warrants. However, the man was held for other law enforcement agencies that wanted him on warrants, Bissell said.
He said the Sheriff’s Office will seek charges against all three through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for second-degree tampering.
