Eureka Police arrested a 30-year-old St. Louis woman for alleged possession of methamphetamine. She was arrested after she left the Dickey Bub Farm & Home store in Eureka, police reported.
Officers were called at about 3:40 p.m. Sept. 19 to the store, 100 Hilltop Village Center Drive, after an employee said the woman was acting suspiciously in the store. Police were told the woman was wearing a red shirt and black pants and carrying a blue bag, and officers saw a woman matching the description near Eureka Auto Collision Center, 1023 West Fifth St., about a half mile away from the Dickey Bub store, the report said.
When they stopped the woman, she started crying and allegedly told the officers she had been traveling with her boyfriend, and he abandoned her after they got into an argument. She said she the man was from Arkansas but could not provide any other information about him, Eureka Police reported.
The woman reportedly gave police permission to search her bag, after telling them that a glass smoking pipe was inside it. The officer allegedly found a pipe with residue on it, along with two plastic bags that contained a clear crystal-like substance believed to be meth, the report said.
The woman was arrested and taken to the Police Station, where she was booked and released pending application for warrants. Depending on results of the drug analysis, Eureka Police will seek charges against her through the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, Lt. Michael Werges said.
