A 40-year-old St. Louis man and a 30-year-old Imperial woman were arrested in Arnold on New Year’s Eve following a disturbance at a mobile home on Lantern Light. The two were arrested about 4:30 a.m. Dec. 31, Arnold Police report.
That was about an hour after Arnold Police were called to the home about the man and woman arguing there. After leaving that disturbance call, police were called back to the scene because the man allegedly was driving near the home and struck a light post, Detective Lt. James Jones said.
The man refused to take a breath test but was arrested for suspicion of DWI. The woman was wanted in Jefferson County on outstanding warrants for marijuana possession, so she was arrested, too, the report said.
The man, a prior offender, was booked and released once he was sober, pending application for warrants. Arnold Police will seek felony DWI charges against him through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. As of today (Jan. 5), no charges had been filed, Jones said.
The woman was booked and held for the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Jones said.
