Arnold Police recently arrested a 26-year-old St. Louis man for allegedly pointing a gun out a car window at a passing motorist. The incident happened at 2:17 p.m. June 10, the report said.

The victim, a woman, said she was driving in the area around I-55 and Hwy. 141, and a man who was a passenger in a Toyota Camry leaned out the car window and pointed a handgun at her. She got a partial license plate, which Arnold Police used to track down the suspect, Detective Lt. James Jones said.

Apparently, the suspect felt the woman had driven too close to the vehicle he was riding in and pointed the gun at her, Jones said.

He said the suspect was arrested June 15, and police seized the gun. Arnold Police will seek charges against him for unlawful use of a weapon.
