A 37-year-old St. Clair woman, sought by authorities for an alleged probation violation in Franklin County, was arrested at the Walmart Supercenter, 131 Eureka Towne Center Drive, after she allegedly was found with drugs and drug paraphernalia, Eureka Police reported.

Police were called to the Walmart parking lot at about 12:30 p.m. May 20 when the woman and a man were reported to be passed out in the front seats of a 2003 Ford Explorer, police reported.

Police found the two asleep or passed out with the male sitting in the driver’s seat and the female in the passenger seat. As he struggled to stay awake, the man allegedly told authorities that the two were just tired, the report said.

Officers checked the two for warrants and discovered the female was wanted for a parole violation. She was asked to exit the SUV and was arrested, the report said.

After the woman got out of the vehicle, officers allegedly found a needle in her wallet and a glass pipe with residue in her purse. She was taken to the Police Station, where a female officer found a clear plastic bag with crystal-like substances, a pill containing a white substance and a white and blue pill concealed in the suspect’s bra, the report said.

Pending lab tests, Eureka Police will seek charges against the woman for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia through the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Capt. David Wilson said.

Wilson said police are not seeking charges against the man.
