Arnold Police are investigating the theft of three spools of copper wire from a Reinhold Electric trailer that was broken into at a job site in the 3300 block of Causeway Drive.
Officers were called on June 29 when a Reinhold Electric employee saw that the locking latch on the trailer door had been cut off and the door was open. The trailer’s door had been locked when employees left the job site on June 26, the report said.
The stolen wire was worth more than $500, but an exact value was not reported. Arnold Police also did not report an estimated cost to repair the trailer.
As of July 8, none of the wire had been recovered, and no suspects had been identified, Detective Lt. Jeremy Christopher said. He asks anyone with information about the theft to call the Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
