A sound system valued at $1,799 was recently reported stolen from a vehicle at Gateway Automotive on Jeffco Boulevard in Imperial, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reports.
The victim called authorities at 5:34 p.m. July 31 to report that a head unit, subwoofers, two speakers and a 5,500-watt power acoustic amplifier were taken from the vehicle between 9 p.m. July 26 and 8 a.m. July 31 while the vehicle, a 2007 Volkswagen Rabbit, was at the business.
The owner said he left the vehicle there to have work done.
The investigation is continuing. Anyone with information is urged to call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
