A tip from a snow removal worker led to the recovery of a stolen vehicle that had been abandoned outside Home Depot, 1311 W. Gannon Drive, in Festus. The tip about the stolen 2005 Ford F-250 pickup came about 3 a.m. Feb. 15, Police Chief Tim Lewis said.
“A guy clearing the (Home Depot) lot said it looked like the vehicle had been sitting there a while,” Lewis said. “It was reported stolen in O’Fallon, Mo. It was towed to a local tow lot.”
He said authorities in O’Fallon were notified about the discovery of the stolen pickup.
