The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a 38-year-old Lonedell man who investigators believe stole a pickup from Precision Lawn Care, 8417 Hwy. 30, in Dittmer. The pickup was recovered in Franklin County, police reported.

The white 2012 Ford F-250, which had the company’s logo on it, was stolen during the overnight hours of July 30-31. The pickup was parked in a fenced lot that had a locked gate, and F-250 was driven through the gate, the report said.

The pickup’s GPS system showed it was in the 1000 block of Brich Drive in Londell, and the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office recovered it on Aug. 1, according to the report.

It did not appear the suspect entered the business, the report said.

The Sheriff’s Office did not provide an approximate value to repair the gate.

As of Aug. 14, the suspect had not been located or arrested, spokesman Grant Bissell said. He asks anyone with information about the suspect’s location to call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
