The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a recent burglary at the Quik Stop, 1091 Gravois Road, in Fenton.
Just after 2 a.m. March 30, an alarm sounded at the business, and deputies arrived and found glass broken out of the front door, the Sheriff’s Office reported.
One deputy waited at the front door while another deputy, along with a K-9 officer, or police dog, checked out around the outside of the building and then went inside the business and looked around, and no suspects were found, the report said.
The owner was called to the scene who reported that glass on a coin game inside the building had been broken and an undetermined amount of money was stolen from it, according to the report.
The damage to the door and machine was estimated at $250, the report said.
Deputies said they would later review surveillance footage from the business, according to the report.
As of Thursday (April 7), there were no arrests, Maj. Ralph Brown of the Sheriff’s Office said.
Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 636-797-5515.
