Sheriff’s Office seeks identity of this suspect in an armed robbery.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is looking for an armed robber who allegedly stole cash from the Circle K in the 2200 block of Old Hwy. 141 in the Fenton area. The robbery occurred at 2:15 a.m. Sept. 29, a report said.

The suspect allegedly entered the convenience store, and approached the clerk at the service counter, displaying a gun and demanding an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register. The cashier complied, handing the money to the robber, who then fled, according to the report.

As of Monday (Oct. 2), there were no suspects or arrests, Cpl. Matthew Moore said.

A photo of the suspect taken from surveillance footage shows a white male, wearing a gray, hooded Jimi Hendrix sweatshirt, beige pants and black shoes with his face covered by a purple bandanna.

The early-morning robbery is similar to another recent one at a Circle K in the 5600 block of Hwy. PP in High Ridge. That robbery occurred at 2:44 a.m. Sept. 21, and the suspect had his face covered by a red bandanna and was wearing a black-and-white hooded sweatshirt, beige pants and black shoes, the Sheriff’s Office reported.

Moore said it’s possible the two armed robberies are connected.

“We don’t know because we haven’t identified the suspect, but it certainly is possible,” he said.

Anyone who recognizes the man or who has information about the robberies is asked to call the Sheriff’ Office tip line at 636-797-5515.
