The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of about $1,300 in items from recreational vehicles parked at the Middleton RVs dealership, 3441 Hwy. 67, south of Festus. The RVs were not locked, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported.

The business reported that someone broke into RVs on the business lot between 2:30 p.m. Oct. 26 and about 8:30 a.m. Oct. 28. As of Dec. 27, the items had not been recovered, a business representative said.

Stolen items included a 50-inch flat screen television, a 24-inch flat screen television, a 32-inch flat screen television, a sound bar and a radio.

Anyone with information about the thefts is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
