Sheriff's Office badge, new

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary at a home in the 3800 block of Old Hwy. 21 in Imperial, where tools, antiques and other items were stolen. The burglary happened between June 14 and July 14, the Sheriff’s Office reported.

The victim reported the burglary on July 14 but had not been to the residence over the previous month, the report said.

It looked like two garage doors had been pried open. Stolen items included a generator, two power saws, lawn mowers, an antique grandfather clock, two antique silverware sets, two laptop computers, a flat-screen television, a horse saddle and three guitars, according to the report.

The Sheriff’s Office provided no estimated value for the items.

Sheriff’s Office spokesman Grant Bissell said July 26 that none of the stolen items had been recovered and no arrests had been made. Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau at 636-797-5515.
