A dump truck left at C & C Auto and Collision, 4750 Raetta Lane, in House Springs was missing when the owner showed up to reclaim it. The dump truck had been left at the auto repair shop for nearly a year, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported.
The victim, owner of JDH Exterior Services, told investigators his Ford F-550 dump truck was towed to the shop for repairs on May 7, 2018, and on April 2, 2019, he went to the business to settle his account balance and retrieve his vehicle. However, “business staff were unable to locate his vehicle,” the report said.
The dump truck was valued at $18,000. As of April 24, the truck had not been recovered and no arrests had been made, Sheriff's Office spokesman Grant Bissell said.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
