Arnold Police are investigating the theft of a purse from an SUV at Ferd B. Lang Park. The victim told police she believed she had locked the 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee after arriving at the park, 1820 Old Lemay Ferry Road, Detective Lt. Jason Valentine said.
The victim said she got to the park at about 1 p.m. June 5 and put her purse under the driver’s seat of the SUV and locked the door. She said got ready to leave the park at about 5:45 p.m., and her purse was gone, according to the report.
The woman also said she may have had the key fob close enough to the SUV at some point for the doors to unlock. The purse contained the victim’s bank cards, medication, cash and other items. In all, the items were valued at $1,299, police reported.
As of June 10, the purse had not been recovered, and no suspects had been identified, Valentine said. Anyone with information about the incident should call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
