Arnold Police are investigating two recent thefts from unlocked vehicles – one parked along Karley Drive and the other parked at the First Baptist Church of Arnold. The thefts happened Feb. 15, the report said.
Between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. that day, someone illegally entered a vehicle in the 1600 block of Karley Drive and stole a Springfield handgun and a toolbox filled with miscellaneous tools. In all, the stolen items were valued at $950, Detective Lt. James Jones said.
Later that day, between 6:30 p.m. and 7:55 p.m., someone illegally entered a vehicle parked at the First Baptist Church, 2012 Missouri State Road, and stole a black jacket, a bag and a Kel-Tec handgun. Altogether, the items were valued at $284, Jones said.
As of Monday (Feb. 27), none of the stolen items had been recovered, and there were no suspects or arrests. Anyone with information about the thefts is asked to call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
