Festus Police are investigating the theft of a pickup parked behind a house in the 700 block of Mueller Road. The pickup, a black, four-door 2012 Ford F-250, was valued at about $23,000, Chief Doug Wendel said.
He said the owner, a 38-year-old Festus man, left his home at about 5 a.m. May 12, and when he returned at about 4 p.m. that day, his pickup had been stolen. Police don’t know how entry was gained to the vehicle.
“The truck was in the driveway behind the house,” he said. “(The victim) said the keys were inside the house and the truck was locked.”
As of May 16, the vehicle had not been recovered and no arrests had been made, Wendel said. Anyone with information is urged to call Festus Police at 636-937-3646.
