A pickup stolen from outside a Pevely-area home was later recovered and returned to the owner, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported. The 2003 GMC Sonoma was stolen between 10:30 p.m. Sept. 8 and 8:15 a.m. Sept. 9 from the driveway of a home in the 1000 block of Bruhn Lane. The doors were unlocked and the keys were left in the vehicle, the Sheriff’s Office reported.
Capt. Andy Sides said Sept. 24 that the vehicle, which was valued at $3,000, had been recovered and returned to the owner. The pickup was not damaged.
No arrests had been reported, Sides said.
“This investigation has leads and the investigation is ongoing,” he said.
