The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is seeking a 36-year-old man for allegedly stealing a pickup that was left unlocked with the keys in the ignition outside a business in the 100 block of Delores Drive in unincorporated Fenton. The incident occurred about 9:50 a.m. Feb. 2, the Sheriffs Office reported.
The victim told deputies he went inside the business after leaving his blue 1995 Chevrolet Silverado outside unlocked with the keys inside. When he returned, the pickup was gone.
The pickup was valued at $1,000, the report said.
After reviewing surveillance footage, deputies identified the 36-year-old man as the suspect. However, as of Feb. 15, the pickup had not been recovered, and the suspect had not been located, Capt. Gary Higginbotham said.
