Peyton James Gilfillan, 18, of House Springs allegedly attacked a family member when the man would not return a ski mask, court records show.
Gilfillan has been charged with third-degree domestic assault, a class E felony punishable by up to four years in prison. On Sept. 17, he was released on his own recognizance from the Jefferson County Jail in Hillsboro, according to court documents.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office was called on July 7 after Gilfillan allegedly attacked the man. He pinned the victim against a wall, then pushed the man down and punched the man multiple times, according to the case’s probable-cause statement.
The man was cut near his lip and on his left shin during the alleged assault, the report said.
