The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported a person of interest has been identified after a building was burglarized in the 3900 block of Sand Glade Trail in the Jefferson County portion of Pacific. The Sheriff’s Office did not report details about the person of interest who was identified through Facebook Marketplace.
Deputies were called on Dec. 5 to the building that is owned by Washington University but is leased to Tyson Research. The person who called the Sheriff’s Office found items from the building for sale on Facebook Marketplace, the report said.
Investigators allege the person of interest posted the sales listings.
A stain glass window from the building was missing, an electric pole had been cut down on the property and contents from a transformer that hung on a cut down pole were stolen, according to the report.
As of Dec. 12, none of the stolen items had been recovered, and the person of interest had not been arrested, spokesman Grant Bissell said. He asks anyone with information about the burglary to call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
